Who We Are
Samurai Original is an independent apparel brand creating original artwork inspired by Japanese culture.
Since 2015, our designs have drawn inspiration from ukiyo-e woodblock prints, samurai history, Japanese folklore, calligraphy, nature, and the visual traditions of Japan.
Every piece begins with an idea and an original illustration. We create artwork for people who want to wear something with character, meaning, and a story behind it.

THE ART BEHIND THE SHIRT
From samurai and yokai to cats, koi, kanji and traditional Japanese motifs, each design is developed to feel distinctive while respecting the visual language that inspired it.
We pay close attention to composition, linework, typography and how the artwork will actually look when worn — not simply how it looks on a screen.
MADE WHEN YOU ORDER
We don't mass-produce thousands of shirts and leave them sitting in a warehouse.
Most Samurai Original pieces are made after an order is placed. We work with carefully selected production partners in different regions so your order can be fulfilled closer to its destination whenever possible.
This approach allows us to offer more original designs while reducing unnecessary inventory and overproduction.
